Games Terms of Service
Effective date: October 10, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Carew Enterprises LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as Darkspace Press (“Darkspace Press,” “we,” “us”). They cover these games and services (together, “the Games”):
- Spellstick Live, the real-time spellstick game you play against the computer
- Spellstick Cardgame, the spellstick card game, played against the computer or online against other players, including inside Discord as the Discord Activity “Spellstick - The Card Game”
- the Discord apps we run for these games: the Darkspace Games sign-in app, the Spellstick Live app, and the Spellstick - The Card Game app
- the games page at games.darkspace.press
The Games are hosted at games.darkspace.press and its subdomains, and for now also at temporary Microsoft Azure addresses ending in azurecontainerapps.io.
1. Accepting these terms
By signing in to or playing the Games, you agree to these terms and to our Games Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Games.
2. Who can play
- You must meet Discord’s minimum age in your country, which is at least 13, and be allowed to use Discord.
- You must follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines while using the Games, including when you play inside Discord.
- Spellstick Live and online play in Spellstick Cardgame are for members of the Darkspace Press Discord server who have a role that allows play. We decide which roles get access and may change that at any time. Playing Spellstick Cardgame against the computer doesn’t need an account.
3. Your account
- You sign in with your Discord account. We don’t have separate passwords. Keep your Discord account secure. You’re responsible for what happens under it.
- One account per person. Don’t share, sell, or transfer your account.
- In Spellstick Cardgame you choose a manager name that other players see. It must not be offensive, impersonate anyone, or contain personal information or advertising. We may change or remove a name that breaks these rules. To change your name, email us.
4. The Games are free and still in development
The Games are free to play, and there are no real-money purchases in them. They are still being developed: rules, cards, features, and balance will change. We may reset match history or other progress, and we may change or stop offering any part of the Games at any time.
5. Fair play
Don’t:
- cheat, or use bots, scripts, or other automation to play for you
- exploit bugs. Please report them to us instead.
- use more than one account to gain an advantage, team up with an opponent to fix a result, or deliberately lose matches
- attack or overload our servers, try to get into other players’ accounts, or try to see information the game hides, such as face-down cards
- harass, threaten, or abuse other players
- buy, sell, or trade accounts, cards, items, or coins for real money or anything else outside the Games
If you break these rules, we may warn you, void match results, remove items, or suspend or ban you, including by removing your access roles in our Discord server.
6. In-game items and trades
The Games don’t have collectible items or trading yet. If and when we add card collections, cosmetics, trading, or similar features:
- Items are licensed to you, not sold. You get a limited, revocable right to use them in the Games. They aren’t your property, have no cash value, and can’t be exchanged for money.
- We may change, rebalance, replace, or remove items, including when we change the rules or end a feature.
- You trade with other players at your own risk. Completed trades are final, but we may cancel or reverse trades that involve cheating, bugs, fraud, or broken rules.
- We may limit trading, for example for new accounts.
7. Discord coins
Discord coins are a community currency in the Darkspace Press Discord server, run by HexBot, our Discord bot. HexBot is a separate app with its own rules. The Games don’t use coins yet. If and when the Games let you earn or spend coins:
- Coins have no cash value. You can’t buy them with real money, and you can’t redeem, sell, or exchange them for money or anything outside our community.
- Coins aren’t your property. They are a limited right to use a feature of our community.
- We may adjust balances, correct mistakes, change prices, or reset coins at any time, including if we end the coin system.
- Spending coins is final. We may refund coins at our discretion, for example to fix an error.
8. Tournaments and prizes
If and when we run tournaments:
- We set each event’s rules, including format, schedule, eligibility, time limits, tiebreaks, and prizes, and we may change or cancel an event.
- Our decisions on results, disputes, and how the rules apply are final.
- We may disqualify players, void results, or withhold prizes for cheating, colluding, using more than one account, unsportsmanlike conduct, or breaking these terms.
- Unless an event’s rules say otherwise, prizes are in-game items, coins, or awards with no cash value, and they can’t be transferred or exchanged for money.
- Entering a tournament never requires real money.
9. Our intellectual property
The Games and everything in them are owned by Darkspace Press or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. That includes the Warlock series and the sport of spellstick, and their characters, names, and story, as well as the card designs, art, text, audio, and software.
We give you a personal, non-commercial, revocable license to play the Games. Don’t copy, sell, redistribute, or make commercial use of our content without our written permission. Sharing screenshots and talking about the Games is welcome.
10. Your content and feedback
Today the only content you add to the Games is your manager name. You keep any rights you have in what you submit, and you give us a worldwide, free license to store, display, and use it to run the Games. We may remove it at any time.
If you send us ideas, feedback, or playtest notes, we may use them without owing you anything.
11. Discord and other services
The Games rely on Discord and Microsoft Azure. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord’s own terms. We aren’t responsible for Discord or any other outside service, including their outages or changes.
12. No warranty
The Games are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Games will always be available or free of errors, or that matches, items, coins, or other progress won’t be lost.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Darkspace Press and its owners, employees, and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, items, coins, or progress, arising from the Games. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Games is limited to US $50. Some places don’t allow these limits. If you live in one, they apply only as far as your law allows.
14. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Games at any time and ask us to delete your account, as described in our Games Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or end your access at any time, with or without notice, if you break these terms, Discord’s rules, or the rules of our Discord server, or if we stop offering a Game. Leaving our Discord server or losing your access role also ends your access to the Games that require it, starting the next time you sign in. When your access ends, your license to the Games ends, and any items or coins in the Games are forfeited. Sections 6 through 13, 15, and 17 continue to apply after your access ends.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the Games or these terms will be decided only by the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you agree to their jurisdiction. Before going to court, please email us so we can try to resolve the problem informally. If you’re a consumer and the law where you live gives you rights that can’t be waived, these terms don’t take those rights away.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date, and we’ll announce significant changes in the Darkspace Press Discord server. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
17. General
If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later. These terms and our Games Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Games. You can’t transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours, for example if we sell our business.
